PRODUCTION NOTES
Originally planned as three 10 minute short films, A Good Place to Live
only turned out to be one 14 minute episode in the Stephen J. Semones
Bristol Apocalypse saga. Written & Directed by Semones, this was the
first film not to feature Stephen Semones onscreen acting in some
capacity.
Though his hand makes an appearance, Semones felt it best to take a break
and concentrate on a bigger cast, which was also a first for Sir Reel Films.
Though the second and third acts to the story were never completed,
there was actually several scenes filmed for them. Semones eventually
decided to scrap the three part saga for a future rehash of the story, which
he promises to one day turn into a feature film.
Sir Reel Films had several firsts on this film, one of them being they held
open casting sessions to find some of the parts not already cast. After
scouring their city, Bristol (in which the story is set), they found several
hopefuls to fill in the remaining roles. This was also the first film to get a
public release. Released in March of 2004 at Blondie's Bar & Grill, the film
was met with a packed house and excellent reception.
